About Me

Growing up I never understood my mother's love of fabric and her ability to create amazing things from what seemed like nothing.  Well, call it what you want, but I now share a similar love of fabric and creating handmade goods.

My name is Kimberly and I am married to the most wonderful man in the world! When I am not working I love to take pictures, sew and refashion, play the piano, decorate, craft, paint, and eat. I also love all things girly and frilly! Ruffles, sequins, beads, feathers... and the list goes on! I grew up in Houston, Texas. I have the best parents and little sister. I went to college, graduated with my Masters of Professional Accounting. Found Mr. Right. Now we're in Longview, TX. I love learning new things, free time, shoes, shopping and almost any coffee. When I am not working I love to take pictures, sew and refashion, play the piano, decorate, and craft.

I've recently created an Etsy shop called Classy Frills. Creating Classy Frills was truly a serendipity! I love dressing up and going our and one night my husband and I were going out and I created a few accessories to wear and got many compliments and from that Classy Frills was born. I not only love to create each item but also to find happy homes for my creations!

Not only do I have a passion for great fabrics and creating accessories, I enjoy creating sweet goodies and baking with my family, I believe that sweets can truly make anything better.  I am fortunate to have great friends that not only condone my baking habits, but have become supporters of Classy Frills and are constantly contributing ideas and fostering my creativity as a designer.  The collaborative process of design is rewarding and I enjoy the outcome of a custom request. Inspired by clean, modern design, I also have a true soft spot for anything vintage.  I find myself lost on Etsy in a world of handmade goods for hours, always on the lookout for unique items.   My new favorite hobby is finding a reading amazing blogs!

I have a new found like for rootbeer. I hate driving. I've never been able to do a cartwheel. My first real thing I sewed was when I was 9, it was a pillow for my mom for Mother's Day. I love making lists and do put things on it I've already done so I can cross them off. I am pretty cheap, but I love to splurge on home decor and craft supplies. That's all for now.
